DISTRITO T-Mobile is the leading and most modern entertainment center in Puerto Rico. It opened its doors in 2020 and spans approximately 476,000 square feet.
DISTRITO T-Mobile features a VIP movie theater, a virtual-reality gaming center, a bowling alley, a wide range of restaurants, and other activities.
DISTRITO T-Mobile is part of PRISA Group (“PRISA”), a Puerto Rican company dedicated to the development and construction of eco-friendly residential communities and resorts in Puerto Rico and Florida.
In 2019, a clear need became apparent for DISTRITO T-Mobile: having a business-intelligence solution that would give all of the entertainment center's managers consolidated, detailed information to help them understand the data and improve decision-making.
Faced with this reality, Amazon Web Services emerged as the reliable alternative, providing a solution suited to helping its end users make better data-driven decisions.
That is how DISTRITO T-Mobile, together with IVCISA, an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner, began working together and developed the strategy that would help generate reports from different sources and gain a broader view of the business, using Amazon QuickSight.
Today we understand the importance of data and the strategic asset it represents for setting business goals. For DISTRITO T-Mobile, it became clear that it needed to consolidate the information generated by its various companies and unify it in a report that would give it a macro view of the entertainment center.
Each company that makes up DISTRITO T-Mobile had its own platform and database, which generated multiple reports that had to be analyzed daily to meet the needs of each area.
That is how DISTRITO T-Mobile, together with IVCISA as a trusted specialized partner, began the Data Lake and BI Reporting project with Amazon QuickSight in late 2021 for the entertainment center's various areas.
With this scalable cloud-based business-intelligence service, the company was able to gather information dynamically, centrally, and automatically. As the client notes, they managed to “put everything in one basket, simplify everything, and create an omnichannel view of the customer who visits DISTRITO T-Mobile.
